Sand Playgrounds
Today’s children have all kinds of toys. But they are deprived of sand, the most easily available, economical play product. In sand play settings, children can play as they wish. They can feel more free while playing sand. Even if there is no toy, the child playing with sand can have information about the depth of the sand, the shape it forms when he/she dips his/her hand into it.
They can examine the sand with their hands and increase their ability to focus by exchanging sand between their hands. They can put hand pressure on the sand and count their fingers. Develops the sense of touch. Sandboxes with slides develop the child’s ability to move.
